Actress Amber Heard leaves Los Angeles Superior Court,after giving a sworn declaration that her husband Johnny Depp threw her cellphone at her during a fight Saturday, striking her cheek and eye.
After marrying Johnny Depp 15 months ago, Heard filed for divorce on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences.
As reported by TMZ, Heard brought with her photos of her injuries at the time of filling, including one that appears to show her with a large bruise around her eye. That photo was reportedly taken on Saturday after Depp allegedly hit her in the face with his iPhone and then left the place before police arrived on the scene.
People magazine reported that the incident was "not an isolated event," based on a source close to the couple.
A domestic violence restraining order is a court order that helps protect people from being abused, or being threatened with abuse, by someone they are close to.
With divorce papers being filled, Heard, who married Depp, star of the the Pirates of the Caribbean series, in February 2015, has set the stage for a battle over his $400 million fortune.
